Local SdCNHA Field Trip Grants encourage school field trips which foster the study of land and water, local history, local heritage, local culture, archaeology, an understanding of place, and the shared natural and human resources of our heritage area.

We encourage field trips which foster:

– local history, heritage, culture, and the study of land and water

– archaeology, an understanding of place, and the natural and human resources that we use and conserve

We do not fund recreational and athletic field trips, even if they occur at one of the listed locations.

Funding will occur after the field trip has been completed on a reimbursement basis. To receive payment, submit a Field Trip Grant Close-out Form which includes receipts within 14 days of taking your trip to info@sdcnha.org or mail to Field Trips, Sangre de Cristo National Heritage Area, PO Box 844 Alamosa, CO 81101.
