Local SdCNHA Field Trip Grants encourage school field trips which foster the study of land and water, local history, local heritage, local culture, archaeology, an understanding of place, and the shared natural and human resources of our heritage area.
WHAT WE FUND
We encourage field trips which foster:
– local history, heritage, culture, and the study of land and water
– archaeology, an understanding of place, and the natural and human resources that we use and conserve
We do not fund recreational and athletic field trips, even if they occur at one of the listed locations.
AWARD
Funding will occur after the field trip has been completed on a reimbursement basis. To receive payment, submit a Field Trip Grant Close-out Form which includes receipts within 14 days of taking your trip to info@sdcnha.org or mail to Field Trips, Sangre de Cristo National Heritage Area, PO Box 844 Alamosa, CO 81101.

ALLOWABLE EXPENSES
- Grants will pay for reasonable student and sponsors admission costs;
- Supplemental learning materials;
- Bus/Van transportation via district or school buses, or via private bus companies;
- Grant cannot pay for private automobile costs or food;

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
All K-12 schools or programs that are located in the San Luis Valley Region. A final award decision will be based on completeness of the application, curriculum connection, and available funds.
